Taiji for Health, Defense and You

Taiji for Health, Self-defence and for You
The Sarawak Taiji and Dangong Association has scheduled to open up a Taiji class to cater for the busy working professionals like you. It is hope that more people could benefit from this Taiji program and become wealthier; meaning stay healthier, younger and prettier!

Taiji for Health

We all know that it is good to take up and keep up with some form of exercise to stay fit, healthy and young. Taiji is an all rounded exercise which one can learn and "bring along". Practicing Taiji does not demand for a large space, whereby a mere 8'x8' space would do. Working professional can practice Taiji at the living room or car porch at home. When travelling, one can practice Taiji in the hotel rooms, poolside or the park. Though you can practice Taiji in a group, you can also do it alone and you don't have to carry any instrument with you. It also does not demand a lot of time from you; a mere 20-30min would do for each session.
Taiji for Self-Defence
Taiji is also a self-defence system. It helps one to defence oneself when attacked. The defence techniques in Taiji do not emphasize on strength, but on the willpower and skills. It is particularly useful for the ladies against snatches. One with a small size and weaker strength could overcome the opponent when the right techniques are applied.

Taiji for You

The general misperception that Taiji is for the elderly shall be corrected. Though there are many older people take up Taiji, really it is for the young ones as well. We all know that it is good to maintain our body healthy, and is best to start young. In addition, if you think that Taiji is too slow and too simple for you, then you have more reasons to try it out! Taiji is indeed for health, defence and for you!

Taiji Crash Course for the Working Professionals
We have tailored 3-month Taiji Crash for the working professionals. The current Taiji Crash Course has started in early May 2008 and last until July 2008. Classes are held twice weekly, on both Monday and Thursday between 6:00pm-7:00pm. This class has attracted more than 20 participants of both genders and they are almost entirely young working professional, with the average age of below 30! When inquired, this energetic and enthusiastic group expressed that this well-organized class fit well to their busy schedules. They come straight after work, exercise, sweat out and still have time for their evening programs!

Course Instructions and Study Guides
Study guides are provided to the students to complement the verbal class delivery and facilitate the teaching, learning and comprehension of the of class materials. They come in both Chinese with Ping-ing and English translation. Better still, it also comes with pictures to enhance the visualization of the Taiji moves.

The Next Intake: September 2008
The next 3-month short course on Taiji is now open for enrolment. It is hope that more working professional would signup and benefited from our proven, well-structured and effective training programs. While exercising, you also learn a defence mechanism that could protect yourself and your love ones

Sarawak Taiji and Nai Wai Dang Gong Association

We are volunteers and we are here to disseminate, encourage, organize and control the teaching and practice of Tai-Chi Chuan and Nai Wai Dang Gong as a sport and an art.
