KUCHING:
Sarawak Tai Chi Chuan and Nai Wai Dang Gong Association is now offering courses on
Tai Ji and Dang Gong. Classes are held twice a week and students who have completed the training and passed the assessment will be awarded a certificate of achievement. The 37-form Tai Ji Quan — a short of Huang Style Tai Ji — covers 40 sessions while the introduction to Dang Gong — an introduction of Nei Wai Qi Dang Gong — requires 20 sessions. Association chairman Wong Wee Choon, who has more than 10 years coaching and teaching experience in both Tai Ji Quan and Dang Gong, is the senior instructor. Others are Chong Yap Luan and Sim Shah Ping.
He said yesterday the Tai Ji form adhered to the teachings of the late grand master Huang Xing
Xuan while the Dang Gong style followed the teachings of the late grand master Zhang Zhi Tung.
